Club History

Royal Holloway Old Boys FC was formed in 1994 by a group of graduating students. Since its inception, it has grown from a single Sunday side to a successful Surrey Intermediate League club with First and Reserve teams playing each Saturday.

Colin joined the club at the start of season 2003/4 on the recommendation of Steve Moody, and despite concerns about his fitness levels, he proved that skill and pace are not required when you are 100% committed and can bodycheck any striker that tries to get the better of you. Nicknamed Chiefy at college, after his ability as chief sneak in drinking games, Colin became more involved in the running of the club, and went into his third year as club secretary/chairman, where his knowledge of football, often demonstrated by his endless calls to the 606 phone in, was passed on to the players, and where he gave his wit and wisdom to the committee of the SCILW league.
